The Vineyard
The History
It all started with Earl. Earl was a lifelong bachelor carpenter, who spent his life on the property that his family raised him on. The same property where Wooden Link Vineyard is now located. In his spare time he carved wooden chain links out of boards. He said the only way to make a board longer was to carve it into wooden links, thus the name.
Earl was 82 when the property was purchased and he was able to plow and mow until around age 90 at which time he moved into a long-term care facility. Nate and Jillian, the founders of Wooden Link Vineyard, would bring him back to the farm and set him up on their deck and serve him lunch because he enjoyed seeing the land he grew up on being transformed into a vineyard.
